Jain Irrigation and The Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) showcase Cutting-Edge Agricultural Innovations to Global Delegates at G20 Summit

The Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) in collaboration with Government of India (GOI) recently hosted a groundbreaking three-day G20 summit, drawing participation from esteemed delegates including scientists and agriculture secretaries representing 20 countries. The summit, organized by CRIDA, culminated in a visit to the CRIDA Farm on its final day, where delegates had the opportunity to witness the implementation of state-of-the-art Micro-Irrigation (MI) systems on a diverse range of crops.

Under the leadership of CRIDA, the farm setup was executed in collaboration with Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd, a pioneer in innovative irrigation solutions. The delegates were provided with a comprehensive overview of various MI systems, highlighting their role in revolutionizing modern agriculture practices.




Delegates Witnessed Impressive Crop Variety and MI Systems

Mr. BMK Reddy, Senior Scientist at CRIDA, led an informative session, elaborating on the distinct MI systems and the concept of fertigation, which combines irrigation with fertilization to enhance crop yield and quality.

The G20 summit related session, organized by CRIDA, served as a global platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among agricultural experts from around the world.
